HerdRock is located in Winfield, TN on the scenic Cumberland Plateau.

We offer healthy show quality Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats that are registered with ADGA (American Dairy Goat Association) and AGS (American Goat Society).

Our emphasis is on breeding productive, friendly, show quality goats that in addition to producing plenty of tasty milk are able to freshen and raise their kids without human micromanagement. Nigerian Dwarfs produce large amounts of milk for their size which is high in butterfat and sweet to taste making it perfect for making cheeses, butter, yogurt and ice cream.  Goat milk is also a favorite ingredient for soap makers wishing to make a product that is very gentle on the skin.
The herd is tested for CAE and Johnes  (Latest test 12/4/23).  We also participate in the American Dairy Goat Association genetic improvement programs which include linear appraisals (LA) and milk testing (DHIA – Dairy Herd Improvement). In order to keep numbers manageable and to continue to move toward producing our ideal animals we will occasionally offer adult animals for sale.  The animals offered are not culls but are usually being offered because we have retained daughters and need to freshen them to judge the improvements we are making.
**Note**  All does have freshened for 2024.  Please check the Breeding Schedule page for the results.  Does are currently being bred for 2024 kiddings.  As they are confirmed pregnant their approximate due date will be added to the breeding schedule. If you see a pairing on our breeding schedule that you would like a kid from you may be placed on the waiting list at this time.
